The Say on Climate 2023 report, organised jointly by ADEME and FIR, is now available for replay!
On Tuesday 26 September, the event was introduced by Alexandre Holroyd (MP for the 3rd constituency of the French abroad and Chairman of the Caisse des Dépôts Group), who stated that one of the central aims of Say on Climate was “to promote the dialogue that exists between companies, the Board of Directors, management and their shareholders, investors and owners”.
The Say on Climate 2023 review was also an opportunity for Romane Delevoie and Justine Apollin to present the ACT methodology used by ADEME to assess the transition plans of companies that have submitted a Say On Climate, in addition to the FIR analysis methodology.
The event also provided an opportunity to bring together experts for a round table discussion with Bertille Knuckey, Nicolas Mottis, Mathieu Garnero, Olivier LAFFITTE moderated by Grégoire Cousté:
- CSRD, which is a precise and detailed reporting measure, but which does not provide the component of the necessary dialogue between companies and investors in the context of AGMs provided by Say On Climate, the two measures being complementary to each other.
- The importance of dialogue between companies and their shareholders in a context of climate emergency
- The impact of this dialogue, which goes beyond the results of AGM votes, has a direct effect on the way major French groups operate in terms of the results they take into account
